Generic WordPress courses teach you a version of WordPress you don’t have. Different theme, different plugins, different admin menu. You get home, open your own site, and none of it looks the same.
This is the opposite. Every guide is recorded on your site, with your theme, your plugins and the way your pages are built. What you get back is a permanent manual for your website, not notes from a lesson.
What you get
- Up to 15 step-by-step guides, each one recorded click by click on your own site, with a screenshot of every step and your own screen in every shot
- A live session: one hour, screen to screen, working through the jobs you need to do not a fixed syllabus
- A guide index you can share with anyone in your business, searchable, and readable on a phone
- PDF copies of every guide, so the documentation survives whatever happens to any single tool
- 30 days of follow-up questions by email while you put it into practice
The guides are built around your jobs
We agree the list before I record anything. For most businesses it looks something like:
- Editing text and swapping images on an existing page
- Adding a new page, and getting it into the menu
- Writing and publishing a post or news item
- Uploading and replacing images without breaking the layout
- Adding or editing a product, price or stock level
- Finding an order, refunding it, resending an invoice
- Updating opening hours, contact details or a phone number
- Adding a user, and which role to give them
- Checking a form submission arrived
- What to do before you click update on anything
If your site does something unusual, that becomes a guide too. That’s deliberate of recording on your own install.
Why documentation beats a training day
People forget a training session within a fortnight, and there’s nothing to go back to. A written guide with a screenshot of every step is still there in eighteen months when you hire someone new, or when you need to do a job you last did once, a year ago.
It also means fewer moments of being stuck waiting on me. Which is the real reason clients on a care plan tend to use fewer of their support hours after doing this.
How it runs
- A short call to agree which jobs matter to you
- I record the guides on your site: usually within a week
- The live session, once you’ve had a read through
- Any gaps we spot in the session get recorded and added
Included free with any new website build. If I built your site, you should know how to run it. That should not be a separate invoice.
