Your data stays yours
No account is needed. There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party servers. Your trips, expenses, receipts and locations sync across your own devices using your iCloud account, and you can export a full backup to iCloud Drive at any time and restore it later.
Live battery status and range for a connected car is opt-in and signs in with your own manufacturer account: Peugeot and Stellantis, Audi and Volkswagen Group, or MG. Mile Magpie only reads from your car. It cannot lock, unlock or control it. The privacy policy sets out every data flow.

Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Mile Magpie has no sign-up and no login. Everything is stored on your device and, if you leave iCloud Sync on, in your own iCloud account so it appears on your other devices.
Is there a subscription?
No. It is £14.99 once, through the App Store. There are no ads and no analytics.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes, if you download a planned trip’s route ahead of time. Mileage tracking itself uses GPS, which does not need a data connection.
Will it count my business miles for HMRC?
Mark trips as business or personal and only business miles count. UK drivers see progress toward the 10,000-mile threshold and an estimate using HMRC’s 45p and 25p rates, with CSV export for an accountant. The figures are a guide; your accountant has the final word on what you claim.
Can the app control my car?
No. The optional connected-car feature reads battery level and range through your own manufacturer account. It cannot lock, unlock or send any command to the vehicle.
